A British tradition, this innovative, London-based designer has been revolutionizing the bridal industry since being established in 1912. A family-run business for three generations, the birth of Ellis came when on a bright January day in 1910 Ada walked down the aisle to marry Sam in the very first Ellis wedding dress. Demand grew as brides across England clamored for an original Ellis creation. Believing that you should work surrounded by what you love, in the 1960s Ada opened her central London Atelier. The couple became a family and their children grew up surrounded by their parents’ devotion to design that has spanned generations. In turn, Regine Ellis and her son James have become the co-creators of the legacy that continues to charm and enchant brides globally. True to Ada’s words, London remains at the heart of the design process.
Ellis gowns reinterpret the elegant designs of the past for the modern and chic bride. Exquisite craftsmanship and European sophistication are cornerstones of this iconic brand, which celebrates its centennial with the introduction of its designs to the American market. Something Bleu is pleased to be among the few salons hand-selected to represent this designer in the United States.
