Our bridal shop can be summed up in one phrase:
Big city style, small town service
On the second floor of a beautifully restored Victorian mansion in the heart of Saratoga Springs, NY, our bridal boutique boasts some of the best designers in the wedding industry, gowns that will have you drooling, and truly amazing stylists who work for you, not commission.
The Something Bleu Difference:
When you walk in to the main ballroom of Something Bleu’s Saratoga Springs bridal shop, it’s a little difficult to say what will capture your attention first: the beautifully restored 19th century room, or the gorgeous dresses from designers like Elisabetta Polignano, Lea-Ann Belter, Flora Bridal, Claire Pettibone, Watters, and more!
Unlike other bridal shops, all of our brides feel like they are the only bride in the boutique thanks to the uniqueness of our space. Using the antechambers off the original ballroom, we have created completely private dressing suites. These suites allow brides privacy and intimacy as they try on gowns with their closest friends and family. Each bridal suite includes a private dressing area in addition to the artfully arranged seating and viewing space where brides discover The Dress with the help of their nearest and dearest (and one of our incredible stylists).
Buying your wedding gown is one of the most important elements of planning your wedding, and at Something Bleu every bride’s experience is reminiscent of a private appointment with a top-knotch stylist or designer. We encourage our brides to explore our collection, choose the dresses that speak to them, and be open-minded to our stylists’ creative genius at work! (You haven’t seen creative genius until you’ve seen Teri transform gowns from cut-and-paste Pinterest pictures to something truly unique and personal).
We’ve talked a little about how Something Bleu is different from other bridal shops:
- We’re non-commission.
- We spend as much time with each bride and her girl squad as they need – and in a private dressing suite, to boot.
- We carry big-name designers, and we aren’t afraid to ask them for customizations.
- Our reputation is predicated on how much we care, and we approach every appointment, every sale, every bride with the golden rule in mind.
Now let’s talk about why Saratoga is your bridal shopping destination, no matter where you live.
New York City has long been a fashion capital… and the stores and designers there have had a reputation for their big-city attitude for just as long.
Skip the city and the attitude! Saratoga Springs is beautiful, has everything you need for a wonderful weekend of shopping for wedding dresses while bonding with your closest friends and family members, and – and! – you can even relieve the pressure of making sure everything is just right with our famous mineral baths. (Can you tell yet that we LOVE where we live?!)
If you’re coming from out of town, be sure to mention it to us when you make your appointment, and we’ll be happy to recommend our favorite hotels, restaurants, and activities. If you’re in the Capital Region already, think about a stay-cation weekend, complete with an overnight in that hotel or B&B you’ve always wondered about.
Shopping for a dress sometimes feels stressful or like there’s a lot of pressure to decide now or make everything perfect. It doesn’t have to be. Our suggestion? Forget what society tells you and make your dress-buying experience one you’ll never forget with a weekend in Saratoga Springs.
We aren’t Kleinfelds, and Saratoga Springs isn’t NYC… and we’re pretty sure that’s precisely what you’re going to love about us.
